Coronavirus: police report 162 people for breaking Covid measures

Police reported 162 people in the past 24 hours, including an owner of a hospitality venue, for various violations of Covid measures.

The force said it had carried out 8,623 checks across the Republic.

Officers conducted 2,117 checks in Limassol and issued fines to 64 people; 28 in Nicosia during 1,532 checks; 12 in Larnaca, including the owner of an establishment, during 1,326 checks, and 24 in Paphos where 1,168 checks were carried out.

Famagusta police reported 28 people during 1,039 checks. Traffic police did 629 checks and reported six people.
