Coronavirus: 41 new cases in the north on Saturday

Forty one new cases of coronavirus were reported in the north on Saturday out of a total of 8,276 tests.

The ‘ministry of health’ said these referred to one overseas traveller, 12 contacts of known cases and 28 who were infected from within the community. Ten were found in Nicosia, 11 in Kyrenia, three in Famagusta, one in Trikomo and two in Morphou.

This brings the total number of cases seen in the north since the start of the pandemic to 6,649, while the number of deaths stands at 33.
