Coronavirus: 121 people charged for breaking decrees

Violations

Police charged 121 people over the 24 hours up to Monday morning for breaking coronavirus decrees.

The charges came from a total of 8,016 checks around the island.

In Nicosia a total of 1,183 checks were carried out and 30 people charged, in Limassol 1,153 checks resulted in 25 people being charged, in Larnaca there were 1,490 checks and 18 people charged, in Paphos 29 people were charged as the result of 1,274 checks, in Famagusta 1,270 checks saw 15 people charged and in Morphou 810 checks did not see anyone charged.

The traffic police stopped 715 people and charged four of them.
