Cyprus’ Eurovision song, El Diablo, which got through to the final round on Tuesday evening, has been endorsed by none other than Lucifer himself who gave the song 12 points.

Netflix, that runs the popular TV Lucifer series, posted on its social media account a photo of Tom Ellis, the actor who plays Lucifer Morningstar in the show, giving the full 12 points to El Diablo song.

“Lucifer’s ‘douze points’ go to Cyprus in this Eurovision Song Contest,” Netflix wrote.

This year’s Eurovision song contest is being held in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Saturday.

Cyprus’ entrant, Elena Tsagrinou was among 16 acts taking part in the first of two semi-finals to secure 10 places each.

Cyprus qualified for the final along with Azerbaijan, Belgium, Israel, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine during Tuesday’s first semi-final. The second semi-final is on Thursday.

Tsagrinou gave a lively performance of the song ‘El Diablo’, which has caused a storm in some circles in Cyprus but appeared well received on the night.
