After almost a year of hearing nothing but cancellations and postponements, it seems almost surreal to even report on such an occasion yet, it’s true, well-known Greek singer Giannis Kotsiras will travel to Cyprus this June for three concerts in Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia.
Accompanied by his fellow musicians and long-term colleagues, Kotsiras will once again fill the warm summer evenings with live music, playing well-known and beloved songs. His first concert on the island will take place at Larnaca’s Pattihio Amphitheatre on June 12, then at Limassol’s Municipal Gardens on June 14 before travelling to Skali Aglantzia in Nicosia for his final concert on June 16. Old and recent songs will be part of the repertoire as well as inspired cover songs and references to authentic folk music. Brand-new songs from Kotsiras’ new album will also be presented.
“The concerts will be filled with everything we need to have fun and get out of the difficulty of the current times,” say the organisers, “which kept us away from what we love, including music.”
