Coronavirus: Ten people booked out of 2,186 checks


Police booked ten people after 2,186 checks for breaches of the  coronavirus measures nationwide in the 24 hours leading up to 6am on Monday.

Nicosia officers carried out 179 checks and booked two people, Paphos police booked five people after 211 checks while another three were booked in Larnaca after 672 checks.

No checks were carried out in Limassol.

No violations were reported in Famagusta or Morphou after 347 and 227 checks respectively.

Traffic police also checked 428 drivers, while port police carried out 122 checks without reporting any violations.
