The childhood journey to developing empathy

Hey kids, in this video we’re talking about empathy.

Empathy is the capacity to understand or feel what another being is experiencing – from that other being’s perspective. In other words, empathy is the capacity to place ourselves in another’s position.

Developing empathy is extremely significant, as it moves us to share in someone else’s pain or distress, and to see the world through their eyes. When we do, it very often changes the kind of decisions and actions we take ourselves.
