Coronavirus: new relaxations for sports events

A further round of relaxations will see fans attending sports events, at 50 per cent of the facility’s capacity, and ten people per table at cafes, bars and restaurants.

The health ministry’s announcement on Tuesday stated that fans returning to sports events will be permitted from July 1 onwards and under the conditions of the SafePass.

One exception for the sports events however is that the negative test (PCR or rapid) criteria of the SafePass must have a negative result within 24 hours – compared with the 72-hour time limit for other social gatherings.

As for cafes, bars and restaurants, ten people per table will now be permitted and “this decision will be regulated by a decree and will be implemented with its adoption”, according to the ministry’s announcement.
