Study skills for kids: beating test anxiety

Hey kids, in this ‘Study Skills’ series of videos, we’re going to learn, step-by-step, the best approaches to become a studying powerhouse.

The eighth step towards this goal is overcoming exam anxiety.

The anxiety that tests and examinations generate is understandable, given that doing well in them is very often how school grades are determined, which in turn may expand or limit choices later in terms of entering university or following a particular career path.

So, in this video, Crash Course YouTube channel host Thomas Frank, helps you take a deep breath, and then walks you through strategies for beating test anxiety, so that you can walk in on test day feeling refreshed and confident.

Remember, at the root of anxiety is fear, and fear is a part of life. It doesn’t have to hold you back. Instead, fear can give you an opportunity to stretch, grow and become better at whatever matters to you.
