The prehistoric world of enormous dinosaurs is fascinating. And seeing how these gigantic reptiles lived, communicated, fought and moved around is an experience that a new interactive exhibition coming to the island will show.

The show, in Limassol this July, will bring the world of dinosaurs closer. After a successful tour with huge visiting crowds in Athens, Thessaloniki and Sofia, the Surviving Dinosaurs Park is finally coming to Cyprus.

From July 2 and for two months, Limassol will be under the shadow of the Dinosaurs. The north Germasogeia River (Medieval Bridge) is transforming into a land from a different era and every day, until August 31, a large group of medieval animals, along with the unique animators, will amaze visitors to this memorable, educational experience.

More than 20 life-size dinosaurs will be move as the dinosaurs did, making genuine sounds while animators share important information about the creatures themselves and their prehistoric world. The park will be a glimpse into the way these reptiles lived, what they ate, how they fought, who dominated who and more. Adults and children (as the exhibition is suitable for children from age three) will get to witness the grand size of a Tyrannosaurus Rex – 15 meters long and 5 meters tall.

This is the most impressive dinosaur of the exhibition for its sheer size alone, yet there is plenty more to discover. Diplodocus with his long tail-whip, that knocks everybody over, Brachiosaurus with its towering neck, as well as 18 more prehistoric animals of varying sizes.

“We hope to educate visitors about the prehistoric world and especially about these unique giants,” organisers Eksagon Exhibitions say. “Also, to offer a unique and unforgettable experience to the kids.”

The four siblings behind Eksagon Exhibitions have held numerous interactive and showstopping exhibitions in the past. Their passion and vision is to change the definition of ‘experience’ by offering extraordinary and unique shows. Their motto is “Experience it as if actually living it”.

The company’s main activities are in Greece and they are behind numerous other travelling shows such as the Explore the Ice Age exhibition, Hercules and the 12 Labours, Odyssey and the Chocolate Park which are currently in Greece. Surviving Dinosaurs began its journey in Athens and Thessaloniki before travelling to Rhodes, Patra, Volos and Sofia, Bulgaria.

Curated by engineer and palaeontologist Daming Zhong, who has 20 years of experience working at the third largest dinosaur museum, the Dinosaurs Park will be an all-immersive playground for all.

“At the Dinosaur Park,” comments Zhong, “you will not just peek, but instead you will enjoy the time when these giant creatures dominated our planet. You will learn about the T-Rex, who is considered to be one of the most terrifying creatures on the planet, Diplodocus with the long tail that tosses everything that passes by, Brachiosaurus, the dinosaur with the super long neck that looks like an elephant…”

The exhibition is an exciting guided tour that literally takes the visitor on an immersive journey to the past. From the beginning to the end, visitors will observe, interact and live an exciting journey to the dinosaur era. At the end of the guided tour children will have the opportunity to play at ‘Dig and Find’ along with the palaeontologist. Meanwhile, parents can lounge at the café or browse the shop and photo area.
