The glass blower who turns old bottles into works of art

In this video, we meet Melbourne-based glass blower and artist, Ruth Allen, and discover her amazing designs made from recycled glass bottles.

Her finely honed skills, developed through years of study and experience working under internationally acclaimed glass artists have enabled Allen to work in this medium with a particularly refined approach.

“To create the extensive range of designs and quality of product that we do, I believe you need to be a glassblower,” says Allen. “We manipulate each bottle individually by hand, ensuring each item is unique.”
