An 18-year-old was arrested on Monday in connection with two cases of theft in Paphos.

Police arrested the teen after CCTV footage placed him near the house of a Paphos permanent resident who had reported that a mobile phone was stolen from his property on June 28.

The second case for which the 18-year-old is a suspect, concerns a break-in at a home garage in Chlorakas. The teenager, who it seems, was with another person, stole several tools from the garage.

The incident was reported to the police on July 5.

Police said the suspect admitted to his crimes in his statement. He was charged and released pending his court appearance.
