Hit the waves and learn to windsurf

aug 18 windsurfing 2

Learning to tame the waves is a powerful thing yet perhaps water sports isn’t so much about taming the sea but about understanding it and going with its flow. Wanting to bring people closer to the thrilling activity of windsurfing, Active Zone Outdoor in cooperation with Windsurfing Zone – All You Can Surf are organising windsurfing sessions this week to give water sports enthusiasts, especially the young, the opportunity to get to know and learn basic windsurfing.

On Wednesday, August 18, Thursday 19 and Friday 20, students and instructors will gather at Windsurfing Zone in Dhekelia road in Larnaca for a three-hour lesson. Starting at 10am participants will have both a theoretical and a practical session covering the basics of the sports. Everyone is welcome to join though children under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent. No prior preparation or experience is needed other than good swimming skills. The rest is left up to the team at the Windsurfing Zone and the sea! Each session costs €20 and only allows a limited number of participants so those interested are advised to reserve a spot soon through the forms on the Facebook event (Learn to Windsurf). Sign up, put your swimsuit on and get ready to hit the waves!
