A fire that broke out on Monday near Androlykou and Prodromi villages in the Paphos district was brought under control around 3pm, the fire service said.
The flames broke out around 1.30 pm, burning close to 1.5 hectares of dry shrub, vegetation, and some trees in the area.
To extinguish the fire, 20 people from the forest department worked with four fire trucks along with six people from the fire department with three fire trucks and three excavators.
In addition, there were two forestry department aircraft and two helicopters, an announcement said
Crews will remain on the scene to put out remaining flames and handle potential reignitions.
