Coronavirus: 30 people and three premises booked for breaking decrees

Thirty individuals and three businesses were fined in the last 24 hours for breaking Covid decrees.

Police carried out 3,574 checks islandwide.

In Nicosia, 1,091 checks were done resulting in two fines.

In Limassol there were 255 inspections with ten individual fines and one business booked.

Larnaca saw 589 checks and five people booked.

In Paphos there were 318 inspections with five people and one business fined.

Famagusta area saw eight fines on individuals and one business after 969 checks.

Two of the three premises concerned bars fined for non-use of a mask by customers and employees, dancing, not being asking for a SafePass,.

The fines on the two bars were 500 euros and 1,500 euros.

The third fine – 3,000 euros – was on a supermarket in Limassol where employees did not have a SafePass.
