The health ministry will operate a mobile vaccination unit in Athienou on Saturday for the inoculation of 126 residents of “all ages”.

Following a request by the municipality, which is in the buffer zone, a mobile vaccination unit will be sent to the new health centre of Athienou at 9am.

The unit will administer Pfizer vaccines to those who have already expressed interest, and will be divided into small groups to avoid crowding.

Athienou Mayor Kyriakos Kareklas on Friday thanked the health ministry officials and especially the deputy head of the medical services Olga Kalakouta, who approved their request.
