Coronavirus: Testing locations for Sunday

feature testing on friday cyprus carried out 69,068 tests resulting in 677 cases but a positivity rate below one per cent

A total of 47 rapid testing sites will operate nationwide on Sunday for the testing of specific population groups, the health ministry announced.

The sites will operate for free for minors up to the age of 17 who do not have parental consent for a vaccine, as well as people aged 18 and above who have a medical certificate proving that they cannot be vaccinated that has been examined by both the health ministry and Cyprus medical association, with the relevant approval. The same applies for pregnant women.

Additionally, people who have received the first dose of the vaccine have to take a test as a condition for a SafePass for a period of three weeks. Individuals who are fully vaccinated but wish to get tested are also eligible for a free test. Both categories must show their vaccination care.

People who have recovered from Covid-19 in the past 180 days and have a certificate of recovery are eligible for a free test, provided they have the certificate on hand.

To get tested, people need to present proof of identity such as ID, passport or a driver’s licence.
