PwC Cyprus: Strategic sponsors of Junior Achievement Cyprus

The aim is to equip youths with the necessary skills so they can create a future based on sustainable development and innovation

PwC Cyprus has become a strategic sponsor of Junior Achievement Cyprus, after seven years of ongoing support, with a particular emphasis on the “Company of the Year” programme, which culminated with the implementation of another programme for elementary students, entitled “Our Community”.

PwC Cyprus and Junior Achievement have built a relationship of trust throughout the years, as they share the same values and vision of contributing to the community. Together, we invest in the future by promoting youth entrepreneurship and innovation in order to create conditions of long-term prosperity in Cyprus. It is well known that PwC invests in specific sectors, as well as supports local entrepreneurship, while sustainability and the green transition are a main pillar of the organisation’s newly announced global strategy, “The New Equation”.

By becoming a strategic sponsor of Junior Achievement Cyprus, PwC contributes to the effort to help children and young people acquire more knowledge and skills that will enable them to create the future that they want. PwC’s support is multifaceted as it includes, amongst others, the active involvement of volunteers from the organisation in initiatives organised by Junior Achievement, while it also includes a Trade Fair, where the teams that take part in the “Company of the Year” programme have the opportunity to present their ideas and products to PwC Cyprus staff. It should be noted that the programmes and activities of Junior Achievement Cyprus are addressed to students of all ages, from primary to higher education, with a focus on financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

In statements, PwC Cyprus CEO Evgenios Evgeniou said that the organisation will continue to support such initiatives, in every way possible. “We believe in the work of Junior Achievement Cyprus, and we share the same vision and concerns. This is the reason why this year, we decided to enhance our collaboration with the organisation. It gives me great pride to see our people embrace these activities on a voluntary basis”.
