Two people, 27 and 38, were remanded for two days on Saturday in Limassol on suspicion of importing and dealing drugs.

The arrests came after police received information that two women, aged 25 and 29, met a person on social media while they were abroad, who arranged their trip to Cyprus and participation in a party in Limassol.

Police carried out a search in the specific house on Friday and confiscated a large sum of money, a small quantity of cocaine and a scale.

Four people, aged 25, 29, 38 and 27, were arrested as part of the investigations into the case, but two of them were later released pending scientific examinations.

The 38-year-old man and 27-year-old woman were remanded in custody.

The suspects are investigated for illegal importation and possession of drugs as well as possession with the intend to deal.
