Cytamobile-Vodafone named fastest Europe network for 2021

Cyta has achieved a high technological accomplishment, with Cytamobile-Vodafone crowned the “fastest mobile network in Europe” for 2021.

The kudos came courtesy of the Speedtest Awards™ of the independent company Ookla®, a worldwide leader in internet testing and analysis. The Speedtest Award was based on thousands of real-time measurements, made by Cyprus users via the Speedtest® app, in the second and third quarter of 2021. Cyta’s Speed Score™ of 134.69 topped dozens of mobile networks across Europe.

Cyta CEO Andreas Neocleous announced the award during his address at the Digital Agenda Summit, which took place on October 19, in Nicosia.

“We are very proud of this award,” he noted, as it “confirms that Cyta’s networks are an international benchmark for the whole of Europe.

“In addition, [the award] recognises our professionalism, hard work and, most importantly, our willingness to constantly evolve in order to offer our customers advanced services and products that improve their lives.

“This honorable distinction is also an important technological advancement for our country. It proves that when Cyprus wishes, it can be at the top of Europe.”
