About half - €53 million - of the spending package has to do with the coronavirus situation

Police on Friday said that three people tried to cross to the north presenting fake rapid tests over last weekend.

Three people, aged 29, 34 and 36, visited the Astromeritis crossing point at around 11.45am on October 17 and presented a printed document showing negative rapid test results for coronavirus.

Police said that suspicions were raised as to the documents, so the three were taken to the police station.
