Arrest after knife attack

A 32-year-old has been arrested following a knife attack and causing bodily harm in Paphos.

According to the police a member of the community board of a village in Paphos was the victim of an attack from someone living in the community.

The official said when he went to the home of the 32-year-old to cut off the water as bills had not been paid he was attacked with a knife.

From the attack, the official was injured in the hand. He was taken to Paphos general hospital where he was treated and released.

An arrest warrant was issued against the tenant, who was later arrested.
