Yellow weather warning issued for strong storms, poor visibility on motorways (updated)

A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met office for strong storms on Sunday.

The warning is in place from 7am to 2pm and covers various parts of the island.

During the storm rainfall of 35mm per hour is expected.

Hail is also expected to fall.

Police said at around 9am there was water on the motorways from Paphos to Limassol and Kalo Chorio-Kofinou while visibility was low.
