Coronavirus: Vaccination portal opens for J&J boosters

The health ministry on Friday announced that the vaccination portal has opened for the booking of Johnson & Johnson booster shots.

Up until now, people could only get a booster at walk-in vaccination centres.

People who were originally vaccinated with the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine can choose between the same vaccine, Pfizer-BioNTech, or Moderna for their second dose.

The ministry added that due to a scheduled system update the portal will be temporarily unavailable between 6.15pm and 8pm, during which time appointment arrangements will not be available.

It also noted that this not affect the European Digital Covid Certificate (EUDCC) system, which will continue to operate normally.
