Coronavirus: Twenty-four individuals fined for Covid measure violations

In the last 24 hours police issued 24 fines for violation of Covid decrees. After a total of 1518 checks, one manager and 23 other individuals were fined.

In Nicosia, one manager five other individuals were fined following 438 inspections. Two employees were fined, one for not a wearing mask while working and another for working without SafePass or mask. The manager was issued a fine of €750.

No fines were issued in Limassol where 110 inspections were carried out. In Larnaca, following 359 checks six individuals were fined. Two individuals were fined in Paphos, following 107 checks. In Famagusta ten individuals were fined following 370 checks, while no fines were issued in Morphou where 16 inspections were carried out.

Traffic police carried out 112 checks and the port police six without issuing any fines.
