The test to stay policy will be extended as expected to health professionals starting April 1, the cabinet decided on Wednesday.

The decision was announced “as part of efforts to contain the Covid-19 pandemic,” following a relevant cabinet approval.

It includes health professionals in public and private hospitals.

The relevant protocol has been posted on the press and information office website. https://www.pio.gov.cy/coronavirus/categories/info#42 (Guidelines for Health Professionals).

The council of ministers also decided to extend the existing coronavirus measures until April 11, 2022.

Test to stay was initially introduced to primary and secondary school children before it was extended to the national guard, police and fire department.
