Man arrested for burglaries and theft

Famagusta police on Friday said they have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of burglaries and theft.

The man was arrested after officers found various tools which were suspected to have been stolen during a search in his house at a village in Larnaca on Thursday.

During questioning, the suspect admitted to five cases of burglary and theft, theft from cars and unlawful possession of property.

According to the police, the crimes were committed between February 1 and March 31 this year in Famagusta and Larnaca.
