One man arrested, another in hospital after Paphos brawl

One man was stabbed, and another arrested after a brawl in Paphos on Tuesday night.

The police were alerted at 10.30pm about a public fight and arrived on the scene to find two men aged 34 and 74 arguing. At some point, the 34-year-old dropped to the ground with stab wounds caused by the 74-year-old.

The 34-year-old man was taken to Paphos general hospital with stab wounds to his chest and back. He is in critical condition but stable.

The 74-year-old man was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, was released, and subsequently arrested by the police following a court order.

Paphos CID is investigating further.
