Cyprus-Lebanon relations, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the broader region, the situation in Ukraine in view of Russia’s invasion, as well as current regional and international issues of mutual interest are on the agenda of talks to be held by Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib with his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides in Nicosia on Friday.
A press release issued by the Foreign Ministry said that in the framework of his visit, the Lebanese FM will have a private meeting with Kasoulides to be followed by extended consultations with the participation of delegations of the two Ministries.
After the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to the media. Kasoulides and Bou Habib will afterwards attend a working lunch in the presence of the delegations of Cyprus and Lebanon.
The Foreign Ministry’s press release said that the two Ministers are expected to focus their discussions, among others, on bilateral relations and the prospects to further deepen them in a broad spectrum of fields, developments in the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean and the broader Middle East region, the situation in Ukraine in view of the ongoing Russian invasion, as well as current regional and international issues of mutual interest.
During his visit to Cyprus, the Foreign Minister of Lebanon will be received by Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, and the President of the House, Annita Demetriou.
