Firearms and ammunition confiscated

Police on Thursday said they have confiscated a number of firearms and ammunition found in an outdoor space in Larnaca.

Following tip off, police found an automatic firearm, a loaded magazine for 7.62mm caliber cartridges, a pistol with a silencer, a package containing 43 full 9mm full cartridges, a package containing 20 full 7.62mm full cartridges, two electric detonators, and two types of explosives.

The confiscated items were taken for further scientific examination as Larnaca CID continues investigations.
