Police say testimony links suspect to Paphos burglaries

Paphos police HQ

Paphos police have obtained testimony linking a 27-year-old man already in custody for burglary with three other cases, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Michalis Nicolaou said the suspect will be questioned and charged for the new cases – two shop burglaries and a burglary with intent to steal committed on February 25 in Kato Paphos.

The suspect is currently at Nicosia central prison awaiting trial for similar offences, he added.

Valuables worth €2,660 were stolen from the first shop and €800 from the second. The third case was an attempted burglary.

Paphos police are investigating.
