Polis Chrysochous joins Green Dot’s recycling programme

Polis Chrysochous municipality is joining Green Dot’s door to door recycling programme in the context of its environmental policy, the municipality said on Wednesday.

The agreement was signed on May 12 with the programme launching on July 9.

“Both the municipality of Polis Chrysochous and Green Dot believe that with the right collaboration and the help of the public the programme will be successful and significant quantities of material will be recycled,” it added.

The agreement between the municipality and Green Dot provides for door-to-door weekly collection of PMD and paper every Saturday morning from 6am.

Recyclable items should be placed in the special transparent and brown bags respectively. Glass should be deposited at the bell-shaped recycling bins, easily accessible to all, placed in key points within the municipality.
