The police are still looking for Kleitos Rossides, 25, in connection with a series of alleged offences including kidnapping, burglary, theft and assault.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Rossides following a complaint made on April 25, 2022, by a 67-year-old man in Nicosia.

According to the police report, the suspect invaded the 67-year-old man’s house by tricking him to gain entry and then he demanded money at knifepoint.

The perpetrator driving the victim’s car, brought him to an apartment he owned in Strovolos, with the purpose of stealing more money and jewellery.

He also allegedly drove the 67-years-old man to several bank branches in Nicosia, where he was forced to withdraw money from a number of ATMs.

The older man also alleged that the 20-year-old man picked up a second suspect and they drove to a secluded area, abandoning him there before fleeing on foot.

Anyone with information can contact the CID Nicosia at 22-802222 or the local police station, or The Citizen’s contact line at 1460.
