Weekend Gesy outpatients clinics to be up and running from next weekend

Gesy on-duty clinics will begin operating from next weekend, operator Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) said.

Speaking on national radio, deputy HIO director Athos Tsinontides said that talks with state health services organisation Okypy are looking positive and heading towards a final agreement.

The clinics will operate out of normal working hours at state hospital outpatient clinics, and according to Tsinontides they will be open for eight hours on Saturdays and four hours on Sundays and national holidays.

He added that the clinics will be staffed by personal doctors and paediatricians registered with Gesy.
