Three arrests for car theft

Police have made three arrests for car theft, catching two of the suspects with one of the two stolen vehicles.

In an announcement on Thursday, police said that at around 6.45 pm on Wednesday and acting on a tip off, police had tracked down a car being driven in the Polemdhia area of Limassol. When the two suspects, aged 37 and 23, parked and exited the vehicle, they were stopped and arrested.

The car was stolen on the night of Monday to Tuesday, from outside the house of the owner in Kato Polemidhia. The theft was reported to police on Tuesday morning.

A third suspect, a man aged 27, was also arrested for stealing a car on June 12 in the Astromeritis area. He was arrested at 9.30 pm on Wednesday. The car was found parked in the Limassol area a day after it was reported stolen.
