Four arrests over drugs and threats

Three men, aged 21, and one, 22, were arrested on Wednesday after a safe was found with about half a kilogramme of cannabis in the home of one of the suspects, police said on Wednesday.

The safe was buried in the courtyard of the house of one of the suspects, 21, which is thought to have been stolen by the other two suspects, 22 and 21.

After a search, the latter two suspects said they had received threats from the owner of the house and another person.

The two suspects for the theft were arrested on Saturday and remanded for six-days, followed on Sunday by the arrest of the 21-year-old owner of the house, who was reminded for four-days.

The third 21-year-old was arrested with a court warrant shortly before 1am at Larnaca airport on Wednesday morning.
