Two men aged 21 and 26 are under arrest as Paphos police investigate a complaint by a 25-year-old that he had been abducted and assaulted.

The alleged incident occurred on June 27. The complainant said that at around 7.00 pm as he was sitting in the car driven by the 21-year-old with the other suspect also in the car, the latter allegedly sprayed him in the face, leading him to lose consciousness.

When the 25-year-old regained consciousness, he found himself tied on a wooden pole, and the 26-year-old was threatening and hitting him.

He managed to free himself and flee, pursued by the other two, carrying a knife and a hammer. The complainant managed to get away and with help from the public, police and an ambulance were notified. He was taken to Paphos General Hospital where the doctor diagnosed a fractured skill and multiple blows to various parts of the body. He was administered first aid and discharged.

Police investigations led to testimony against the two men who were arrested.
