Coronavirus: Two people fined for not wearing mask in vehicle

Two people have been fined for not wearing protective masks against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, after the council of ministers’ reinstated the mask mandate in indoor and closed spaces for people over the age of 12, as of Friday July 8 .

Checks were carried out island-wide during which the two fines were issues to people in vehicles in Famagusta district.

Overall, 2,653 checks were carried out: 1,033 checks in Nicosia, 342 in Limassol, 334 in Larnaca, 449 in Paphos, 345 in Famagusta, and 150 checks in Morphou.
