Two men were killed on Monday afternoon after a combine harvester capsized in Stroumbi, in the Paphos district.
The operator, Nicos Demosthenous, 53, from Inia village, was crushed under the harvester, while Panicos Ioannides, 62, from Stroumbi, was found further away and it was unknown whether he had been riding on it as well.
According to the police the Demosthenous was harvesting a field that belonged to Ioannides, a fireman on retirement leave. The harvester capsized as it tried to enter the Stroumbi-Kathikas road, loaded with wheat.
