Police are investigating the slashing of the four tyres of the state BMW, used by finance minister Constantinos Petrides.
The car was parked in a private area in old Nicosia, where the minister lives. Although all four tyres were slashed no other damage had been done to the car. Other cars parked in the same parking area had not been damaged.
The minister reported the incident to police on Saturday. The police said the incident occurred between Friday, 2pm and Saturday 5pm and were investigating.
