Met service issues yellow weather warning for Tuesday night

The met service on Tuesday issued a yellow alert for high temperatures overnight, in effect from 10pm to Wednesday 6am.

This is the third such warning for July only.

The service also warned of the possible health risks associated especially among vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children.

On Tuesday night the minimum temperatures are expected to drop to around 26C inland and on the eastern and southern costs and to around 25C on the western and northern coasts.
