Yellow weather warning issued for Wednesday

As high temperatures continue to grip the island, the Met office on Tuesday evening issued a yellow weather warning for Wednesday.

It said the warning will be in place from 12 noon to 5pm during which time the maximum temperature inland is set to rise to around 40C.

The office called on the public to be aware of the high temperatures which could cause a danger to health for sensitive groups, including the elderly and small children.
