Man arrested after stabbing incident

A 58-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a younger man with a knife in Paphos, police said on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old injured man was transferred to the accidents and emergency department of Paphos general hospital with a wound on his elbow.

He received sutures and was kept for further treatment, police told the Cyprus News Agency.

Police added that according to the evidence collected so far, the two were allegedly arguing when the older man injured the 34-year-old with a knife. The reason behind the argument was not immediately clear.
