Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides is travelling to Prague on Sunday to take part in a meeting of EU defence ministers.
At the centre of the talks is the situation in Ukraine and how this affects the safety and defence of member states.
With the presence of UN and Nato, officials, ministers will discuss the impact of the Russian invasion on a world and local level and also support for the Ukrainian people.
Ways to address the gaps in the defence investments of member states will be analysed, with the aim of creating effective synergies.
While in Prague, Petrides will also have a meeting with Romanian defence minister Vasile Dincu during which the two will sign an agreement for defence cooperation between the two countries.
