FM leaves for official visit to Qatar

Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides

Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides will leave for Doha on Monday for an official visit, during which he will meet Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Kasoulides is also scheduled to hold talks with his counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, with whom he will exchange views on a wide range of regional and international issues.

The two foreign ministers are expected to discuss ways to further deepen the relations between Cyprus and Qatar.

Kasoulides will also brief Qatari officials on the Cyprus problem and the problems encountered to find a common ground with Turkish Cypriots for a resumption of talks to take place.

Kasoulides is set to return to Cyprus on Wednesday.
