December 27 deadline to register to vote for Cypriots living abroad

People living abroad with a right to vote in Cyprus must register by December 27, an announcement from the interior ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, people eligible to vote in the February 5 presidential elections, and then in a potential run off on February 12, will be able to register by December 27.

Electoral centres abroad, according to the law, may only operate in those cities where the number of voters who will vote exceeds 50.

People looking to vote from abroad can obtain all the necessary forms from the embassies or consulates of the Republic of Cyprus.
