Fourth arrest in Nicosia attempted murder case

Police arrested another suspect on Tuesday, in an investigated case of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit a felony, carrying a weapon to incite terror, and common assault, committed on October 9 in Nicosia.

The latest arrest is of a 21-year-old Nicosia resident, was who was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon, with a court warrant.

The crime against the 20-year-old victim was committed in an open area in Nicosia and according to the evidence under review, multiple attackers were involved.

The victim sustained bruises and a metacarpal fracture for which injuries he received treatment at the Nicosia general hospital

Three other persons connected to the case, aged 20, 26 and 27, have already been in custody for eight days.

Nicosia CID continues investigations.
