Burglars caught on roof by Larnaca police

Police arrested two men in Larnaca on Monday for a case of burglary and theft, possession of burglary tools, and carrying a knife.

According to a police statement, shortly before 6 pm on Monday, police received information about a burglary and sped to the spot, where they found two people, aged 37 and 32, on the roof of the building.

Police searched the scene to find copper pipes cut from the roof, in the building’s lobby. A subsequent search of the two suspects found the 37-year-old in possession of a number of burglary tools, and the 32-year-old in possession of a picture and other objects, which he confessed to having stolen from the premises, as well as a screwdriver and a knife.

The two men were arrested and taken into custody, while Larnaca CID continues investigations.
