With the prices of services and products constantly rising, households are looking for solutions to reduce unnecessary expenses. Meanwhile, digital solutions offered by companies and organisations are a way of saving time and money, as they allow us to avoid unnecessary travel.

In fact, going to a bank branch today is almost unnecessary, as most services are now offered digitally and without the fees charged at bank branches.

Responding to the modern needs of its customers, Hellenic Bank offers alternative service channels, such as Hellenic Bank Web Banking and the Hellenic Bank Mobile App, new generation ATMs and contactless payment cards, making everyday transactions easier than ever before.

A wide network of new-generation ATMs and contactless payment cards

Hellenic customers can carry out their everyday transactions 24/7 via the bank’s nationwide network of new-generation ATMs. This includes withdrawals, cash and cheque deposits, statement printing, and so on, at all hours, any day of the week, avoiding the inconvenience of queuing at branches.

For even greater convenience and contactless transactions, customers can now link Hellenic’s Visa and Mastercard cards with the digital wallets offered by the Bank, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay or Hellenic Bank Wallet.

Secure and fast service for peace of mind

With the Basic Account, customers get an account and a debit card for their daily needs, for only €1.50 per month, and this is available free of charge to vulnerable groups. Customers can either open a new account or convert an existing savings account(s) into a Basic account at any of Hellenic Bank’s branches or via Web Banking.

Registration to the Bank’s digital channels is free of charge through the website and users can use their debit card easily and quickly through the Bank’s alternative channels, make free withdrawals and deposits, transfers, standing orders and execution of outgoing SEPA transfers (within the European Union) up to €1,000 through Online Banking, without any limit on the number of transactions.

Moreover, in case a customer loses their card or it is stolen, they can temporarily suspend its use, as well as create a new password in the event they forget or have it locked, without any additional charge.

The benefits of Contact Pay

With the upgraded Hellenic Bank Mobile App, everyday mobile transactions become as simple as sending a message. Contact Pay makes everything easier, as users can send or receive money to and from their stored mobile contacts, from/to their Hellenic accounts. With a new, user-friendly design and integrated biometric security features, the App offers a truly seamless banking experience, anytime and anywhere.

‘Book a meeting’ for fast service

Through the Bank’s website, customers can also use the ‘Book a meeting’ service to make an appointment, either at a branch or online, to enjoy more personal service. Bank officers are available to offer customers information on lending, insurance, investment plans and information on any questions they may have. Meanwhile, with the help of Meeters Greeters at Connect Corners within the branches, customers can become familiarised with the use of digital channels, for their own faster, more secure service, minimising the need to visit a branch.

In-store banking transaction changes

As part of its digital transformation, and with the aim of reducing red tape and simplifying and upgrading its services and products, Hellenic Bank is making changes regarding in-branch transactions as of December 15, 2022.

Specifically, deposits and cash withdrawals for amounts less than €500 will be made exclusively at ATMs, while deposits from third parties (for any amount) will not be accepted at the teller counters, if they concern accounts of individuals. That said, vulnerable groups who are unable to use ATMs will continue to be served as before, at the Bank’s counters.
