Arrest made for Peyia arson case

Police arrested a 38-year-old man on Tuesday in connection with a case of car arson in Peyia, under investigation.

According to police around 11 pm a fire broke out in a car owned by a 31-year-old man, which was parked in an apartment building parking lot.

The car, worth €40,000, was completely destroyed by the fire which was extinguished by the fire service.

Following investigations, testimony emerged against the 38-year-old, who was arrested and taken into custody for questioning.
